Golf

Ranked by Golfweek as the 23rd best Residential Course in November 2009, Tom Fazio’s Par 72 masterpiece runs 5,270 – 7,435 yards from 5 sets of tees. The 18 gently routed holes (and the 19th “Hog Hole”) hosts the annual Nationwide Tour’s BMW Charity Pro-Am. Each hole is truly distinctive, possessing its own special setting. A Pro Shop and practice range complement this very special course, which Tom Fazio says is “as dramatic as anything I’ve ever seen”.

Equestrian Center

The award-winning timber frame barn is luxuriously equipped with spacious 12 x 12’ box stalls, two shower stalls, heated automatic water, automatic fly control system, heated tack room, lounge and kitchenette. Dressage and jumping rings, grassy paddocks and miles of maintained trails ensure the pleasure of both horse and rider. Bright’s Creek is just minutes from Tryon, with its numerous horse shows, horse trials and annual Block House Steeplechase.

Kayaking and Fly-fishing

Adjacent to the legendary Green River, Bright’s Creek offers its denizens a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some of the finest kayaking in the South East. Fly fishermen will find that this area is a haven for sportsmen.

Hiking

Miles of trails meander throughout the valley, providing gentle saunters beneath the forest canopy, beside creeks and streams and magical waterfalls. More strenuous hikes ascend onto scenic ridgelines. For those wishing further adventure, there are the 1.2 million acres of nearby North Carolina National Forest.
