eandering roads lying in the dappled shade of stately trees and running beside brooks and caves, mark the entrance to the Cliffs at Keowee Falls. This second of three Cliffs communities located on beautiful Lake Keowee is the setting for one of Jack Nicklaus’s finest Signature courses - a place of picturesque beauty and tranquility. The course is one of three golfing jewels on Lake Keowee, enjoyed by all Cliffs members.

Amenities Summary:

Golf – Recently named one of Golf Magazine’s Top Ten new private courses, the Cliffs at Keowee Falls Jack Nicklaus Signature course lives up to its acclaim. 160 acres provide 7,171 yards of challenge on this par-72 course. Limited housing around the course contributes to the park-like setting, while two ponds and the meandering creek draw wildlife and provide a pleasing backdrop of water music. Water is a common feature of this course with a river that winds its way through the back nine. Par 5’s are reachable in two for the long hitter but demand precision on both shots. The Falls’ greens are normally very fast and are some of the most contoured of any Cliffs’ courses. Members consider The Keowee Falls golf course to be one of the most challenging at The Cliffs, perhaps second in degree of difficulty to Walnut Cove.

Clubhouse – An embracing port-cochere provides the preface to soaring ceilings, cozy dining nooks, capacious entertaining areas and delightful outdoor spaces overlooking ten holes of the magnificent course and the sparkling Falls Creek. The attractive 28,000 square foot Clubhouse is a focal point for this community of friends.

Keowee Towne Shopping Center - Looking like a European mountain village, the Shopping Center Café is a convenient stop for gourmet sandwiches, a full array of grocery items, fine selection of wine, butcher meats and fish, or fresh flowers. Ace Hardware offers items for household repair, outdoor furniture and fishing necessities. The Falls Wellness center is also housed at Keowee Towne on an interim basis.

Falls Creek Waterfall Park – Just one of many private parks within the community, this park’s namesake is a spring-fed cascade of pure water – Falls Creek – which tumbles into Lake Keowee. The adjacent beach and warm cove are perfect for “floating” on a summer’s day, enjoying the company of friends and neighbors. Picnic areas and a managed trail system allow full appreciation of the many streams and verdant woodlots that grace the community.
