Meet Beth

Beth Winter was born and raised in Ontario, Canada, spending her childhood summers in the beautiful lake district of Muskoka, north of Toronto.

Beth pursued a BA in English Literature with a minor in Medieval History from the University of Toronto, and then continued to post-graduate English studies at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. Returning to Canada, she received her B. Ed. from the University of Toronto. She taught elementary school for several years before staying at home to care for the wonderful children she shares with her husband of eighteen years, Justin Winter.

The Winter family moved to South Carolina in 2003. Beth was delighted to revisit her childhood love of lake living. The family enjoys the numerous water sports and recreational opportunities the area affords, but Beth takes particular pleasure in the aesthetic properties of Creation in this beautiful place with its majestic, misty mountains, pine-limned lake and ancient Cherokee lore.

Beth employs her love of the area and of the written language as she takes photographs, writes descriptions, and designs advertising material for Justin Winter & Associates.

Her hobbies include drawing and painting (her work can be seen at www.originalmunningsart.com), a passion for horses and riding, an interest in literature, theology and history, and a love of nature, animals, gardening and classical music. She most enjoys time spent with her dear family.
