Upstate Shakespeare Festival!

With the warming weather, everyone is wanting to hop outside and enjoy the bright sunshine. We are sharing our favorite fun and unique things to do while being outside in the Upstate and Western North Carolina, and today we have a perfect activity that blends the Arts scene of Greenville with our gorgeous outside landscape.

Starting Thursday, May 26th, Downtown Greenville’s lovely Falls Park will host the annual Upstate Shakespeare Theatre. Presented by The Warehouse Theatre, the festival two famous Shakespeare plays – which this year, will be Much Ado About Nothing and Othello. Much Ado About Nothing is slated to run daily on Thursdays through Sundays each week from May 26th through June 26th. Afterwards, the festival will switch plays to Othello and run the same time frame – Thursday through Sundays, from July 14th through July 31st.

Shows begin at 7pm but be sure to arrive early to get a good spot (and pack a lawn chair or blanket as it is held in the park).  You can bring a picnic meal or dine beforehand at one of the many delicious restaurants in Downtown Greenville.

All of the productions are free to public and no tickets are required so plan to enjoy that evening breeze while taking in a true classic. For more information, please click here. You can also follow The Warehouse Theatre on their Facebook page for updates related to weather closures or reschedules.
