Montford Historic District of Asheville

Need to get away for a long weekend? Look to one of the many charming bed & breakfast inns of the Montford neighborhood in Asheville, North Carolina.
Just north of downtown Asheville, this neighborhood is part of the National Register Historic District with over 500 buildings that date between 1890 and 1920. Many of these residential buildings have been restored, including several becoming quaint and welcoming bed & breakfast inns.
One such B&B is the Queen Anne Victorian. You will find this retreat just 5 blocks from downtown. Although decorated with period furnishings, you will find all the modern conveniences. You can relax on the front porch, overlooking the charming rose garden, or soak in the whirlpool that is in front of the fireplace. Another option is the Pinecrest Bed & Breakfast. Originally built in 1905 but beautifully restored, this one-mile walk to downtown location is perfect for the laid-back getaway. There is also the 1900 Inn on Montford! The lovely Arts & Crafts style beckons you to enjoy its cozy fireplace settings.
There are even more wonderful bed & breakfasts, too many to note all of them, but we do hope you are able to enjoy and relax in the Montford neighborhood on your next trip to Asheville!
