Shop Small this Saturday!

The Saturday following Thanksgiving is Small Business Saturday and we love to brag about the many wonderful and unique small businesses in the area (in fact, too many to mention)!

After you have had time to recover from feasting on Thursday and perhaps retail shopping on Friday, how about finding those oh-so-special gifts you just can’t find anywhere else?

For that adventurous person in your life, check out Southern Appalachian Outdoors of Pickens.  Who knows, that kayak might be just the gift item you were looking for! After all, who said Small Business Saturday meant small gifts? This shop has a wide selection of items perfect for anyone who enjoys the outdoors.

Bee Well Honey Natural Market has so much more than simply honey (although, local honey sure does make a “sweet” gift!). With soaps, skin care items, plus local food items and Bees Beans coffee, you will mark lots off your list with this stop. Located on Hampton Avenue of Pickens near the Doodle Trail if you need to walk some of that Thanksgiving meal off during your shopping day, too!

Something Special of W Main Street in Easley says it all! Sure to put you in the holiday spirit, this home and fashion shop has what you need not only to decorate your home for the season but to dress the part as well. In addition, there is a wide variety of jewelry (men, pay attention!), candles, and local-teams attire.

Poor Richards’ Booksellers, also on W Main Street, has remained a staple of the area. Housed in a historic building, this bookstore is sure to have just the thing for any age! They also have local authors’ works available for a truly unique gift idea.

If you are in Seneca, the place to shop is Ram Cat Alley! With numerous small businesses (plus some tasty places to stop for a bit or grab some coffee) you can’t miss here. Just to name a few, this shopping area has Rob & Reana’s Jewelry (again, men are you listening?), Sensibly Chic flower shop that also boasts handmade candles, plus The Healthy Olive which offers a variety of, you guessed it, olive oils plus much more.

No matter who is remaining on your shopping list, we hope you enjoy the fun of venturing through these wonderful small businesses.
