Forbes recently presented The 25 Best Places to Retire in 2016 with studies proving, once again, the south is a spectacular area and provides the best retirement value.

The data considered for this list includes housing and living costs, taxes, weather, air quality, crime rates, doctor availability, and active-lifestyle rankings for walkability, bicycling and volunteering.

The list skews toward southern cities not only for best property value, but healthy air and water. Cities were listed in alphabetical order.Two of our cities were presented without “cons”!
